Safe electrical network
Who we are
Reports and indicators
Starting from July 1 of this year, the implementation, restoration of electricity connection and load changes, as well as microgenerator connection is even more rapid, convenient and simple! The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) in cooperation with Sadales tīkls has made significant changes to the regulations to improve the procedure of receiving services and the methodology for determining fees. For your convenience the new version of the regulations is available here.
After the regulations enter into force we will restore the connection for the customers, who temporarily refuse from the connection before June 30, in accordance with the usual procedure.
In order to facilitate the efficient use of the power load and reduce the total cost for the electricity consumed, we encourage you to assess the connection capacity and the necessary load. You can easily calculate the power required for a household using the power load calculator. Both households and business customers are also advised to consult a certified electrician. Read more information on the assessment of the connection power load here.
For connections in a 0.4 kV electrical network with the input circuit breaker load above 100A or in a 6-20 kV electrical network we offer using the following services.
You can temporarily reduce your connection load without changing other technical parameters of the connection (for example the number of phases and voltage). Load will be reduced not earlier than on the next working day of receiving the application. You can see up-to-date technical information after the application has been processed on the customer portal e-st.lv.
If after the load has been reduced, we state that the actual load exceeds the requested reduced load, starting from the next month we will restore the load automatically to the one you had before applying for load reduction.
Load reduction is a free service. Press the button below to log in to the customer portal and apply for the service. You can also apply for the service at your electricity trader.
Once in a calendar year, but not later than within 12 months of the load reduction, we will restore the initial load free of charge if all of the conditions below are met.
|The connection is in a 0.4 kV electrical network with the input circuit breaker load above 100A or in a 6-20 kV electrical network
The load decrease is not less than 50% of the maximum permitted load.
|> 7% of the maximum permitted load have been used in at least one calendar month in the 12 months preceding the load decrease. For your convenience, we suggest that you use the maximum load calculation table more frequently for fuse nominals i||During the last 12 months, the maximum permitted load has been used for at least 90 consecutive days before the load decrease.
To apply for load restoration, click the button below. You can also apply for the service at your electricity trader.
For example, if the connection point is low voltage (0.4 kV) and the current value of the input circuit breaker (ICB) at the object is 125A, at least one month’s consumption in a period of 12 months before decreasing the permitted load must be not less than 4111 kWh. The load (kW) is calculated as: P=√3*0.4*0.929*ICB=0.6436*ICB 7% of the monthly consumption is calculated as: P*730 (the average number of hours in the month)*0.07 If the connection point is medium voltage (6 kV, 10 kV or 20 kV), the load (kW) can be seen in the customer’s bill. 7% of the monthly consumption is calculated as: P*730 (the average number of hours in the month)*0.07
